Along with some of the best shows, a range of Bollywood actors also came to the OTT playground, and so did a slew of Indian movies. Out of these we’ve got you the highest-rated movies until 2021.

The ratings and rankings can change on daily basis as they are updated.

All the registered members of IMDb can cast their votes/ratings for any movie. IMDb takes all the individual votes cast by the registered users and uses them to calculate a single rating.

Imdb doesn’t give rating. It shows average rating given by users for that particular movie. Users can give movie a rating between 1 to 10. And average for that movie is calculated and shown to other users. And for imdb 250, they have devised a specific formula for calculating the rating and listing the movie accordingly.

The formula for calculating the Top Rated 250 Titles gives a true Bayesian estimate:
weighted rating (WR) = (v ÷ (v+m)) × R + (m ÷ (v+m)) × C where:

R = average for the movie (mean) = (Rating)
v = number of votes for the movie = (votes)
m = minimum votes required to be listed in the Top 250 (currently 25000)
C = the mean vote across the whole report (currently 7.0)

for the Top 250, only votes from regular voters are considered.
